Abstract

PURPOSE:To detect a code signal continuously by inverting a run when the desired code signal is not detected on one side of a magnetic tape in a magnetic recorder and reproducer equipped with an automatic run-inverting device. CONSTITUTION:Tracks 2-5 of a magnetic tape 1 are backward Lch and Rch and forward Rch and Lch. Code signals 6 and 7 for control are recorded at the head parts of sound recording parts 6a and 7a. Heads 8-11 are used for the forward Lch and Rch, and backward Lch and Rch and changed over by a switch 12 for forward/backward switching. The outputs of the heads are sent to lines 15 and 16 through an equalizer 13 and an amplifier 14. The head output signals are passed through LPFs 17 and 18, and processed by code detection 19 and 20 to be inputted to a micro computer 21, and said computer 21 is connected to a display operation part 22 and a tape driving mechanism 23 to perform fast- forwarding and rewinding operation of the display operation part, and controls operation, such as the code detection, by inputs from the code detectors 19 and 20 to detect specified code signals, thereby setting a reproduction state.
