PURPOSE:To maintain fixed burner temperatures in a combustion device at all times which atomizes and burns liquid fuel by a method wherein temperatures of the burner part are detected and the supply of liquid fuel is controlled in proportion to the temperatures. CONSTITUTION:When a drive switch 2 is closed in a state of low burner temperature, a heater control relay 18 is excited by a temperature detecting element 20 and a heater control circuit 19, while a contact 3 is closed and the heater is energized. In this manner, when the temperature of the burner reaches a desired value, the contact 3 is opened through the heater control circuit 19, the relay 18 and the current to the heater 5 is cut off. At the same time, a self- holding circuit 17 is turned ON, a combustion control circuit 16 operates and the burner begins burning. The charging time or oscillating frequency to a capacitor 24 is controlled in proportion to the output of the burner temperature detecting element 20 and the quantity of fuel supply by an electromagnetic pump 8 is controlled.
