Abstract

PURPOSE:To increase critical speed by shortening axial length while reducing the rate of trouble by decreasing the number of parts mounted onto a rotor shaft by integrally forming an AC exciter and a rotary rectifier. CONSTITUTION:Space in the axial direction is shortened by mounting a U phase phase ring 1 formed so as to share a phase ring for connecting an armature coil of the AC exciter and a lead wire at the outlet side of the AC exciter, a V phase phase ring 2, a W phase phase ring 3 and a neutral point phase ring 4 to a coil end at the connection side of the armature coil of the AC exciter. Space can be shortened in the axial direction by setting up the positive and negative lead wires of a positive polarity output lead 7 and a negative polarity output lead 7' to a coil end at the anti-connection side of the armature coil of the AC exciter. All space of which the rotary rectifier has housed on the rotor shaft can be unnecessitated by encasing the diodes 8, 8' of U phase, the diodes 9, 9' of V phase and the diodes 10, 10' of W phase in an electrodynamic machine core 15.
