Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable to form the cooling plate, on which diodes are mounted, into a single steet by a method wherein a double-star type rectifying circuit, having an interphase reactor, is provided in the alternate current generator for vehicles. CONSTITUTION:Pole cores 6 and 6' with pawl and a field section, having a rotor coil 7, are provided around a rotary shaft driven by the engine fixed at one end of a pulley 11, and then a ring-shaped stator core 3a surrounding the field section and an armature coil 3b are provided. On the outside of the reverse side of the pulley on the housing to be formed by end frames 1 and 1', a cooling plate 15 whereon diodes 15a' and 15b' are mounted, a slip ring 9 and a brush 16a are provided. Besides, an interphase reactor 40 is installed on the exterior of housing 1 and 1'. By adopting a three-phase star type wire connection having the interphase reactor, a high output current can be obtained.
