Abstract
An electrical generator for vehicles is proposed, having a claw-pole rotor whose magnetic field enters the stator radially and passes through the stator windings in an alternating direction when the rotor rotates, and having stator windings which are constructed as yoke windings, the individual turns of the stator windings in each case being located in a plane which runs transversely with respect to the circumferential direction of the stator and extends essentially parallel to the rotor shaft.
