Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform picture display of good quality with simple circuit constitution, by using an analog memory with extremely small capacity for a storage circuit, in an ultrasonic picture display system which performs the picture display by using a TV receiver on a standard TV system. CONSTITUTION:An ultrasonic-wave received signal 100 from a probe is supplied to one of memory circuits 24 and 26, arranged in parallel, through an input-signal changeover switch 22. Those circuits 24 and 26 are each composed of a CCD and have enough capacity to store only the received signal obtained by sending and receiving a wave once by the probe. Those circuits 24 and 26 are written and read under the control of a memory control circuit 28, and stored in formation read out of the circuits 24 and 26 is supplied to a picture-signal generator 16 through an output changeover switch 30. Then, the generator 16 is supplied with a TV composite synchronizing signal from a TV composite synchronizing generator 20 as a synchronizing signal for scanning successively.
