Abstract
PURPOSE:To reproduce multiple sheets of copies by providing a photoconductive layer on an electrically conductive support and by using a photosensitive and a heat-sensitive material provided with an insulating layer contg. an org. photochromic compd. on the layer and by repeating an overall static build-up and an overall exposure after heating to present an image pattern mode. CONSTITUTION:UV-rays are so irradiated on the front face of an insulating layer 3 contg. an org. photochromic compd. as to provide an excited state of color development as indicated with oblique lines. Further, an electric heating element 4 of a thermal head is heated to present an image pattern mode with the Joule heat by appling electricity, and then the color disappears on the part being in contact with an electrical heating element 4 (shaded portion) of the insulating layer 3 and the color developing part forms a masking image. Next, after the part is electrically charged by a corona charger 5, it is exposed on overall surface, Then, light 6 is absorbed at the color developing part 3a and does not reach to a photoconductive layer 2, but the light 6 reaches to the layer 2 at a vanishing color part 3b, thereby a static latent image is formed.
