Abstract
PURPOSE:To remove impurities adsorbed on a glass bulb or a light source structure easily and securely by feeding nitrogen or an inactive gas of high temperature into the glass bulb from a fine tube provided at the end of the glass bulb. CONSTITUTION:An ordinary temperature gas such as nitrogen is passed through a center bulb 15 and a horizontal branch 14, is poured into a conduit 11 from penetrating holes 23 of the conduit 11, flows into a glass bulb 1 from an upper end 24 of the conduit 11 until the bulb 1 is filled with it, and is spurted from the lower end of a fine pipe 6 after passing through the pipe 6. Next, the glass bulb 1 is connected through the horizontal branch 14 of a branch pipe 12, to a high-temperature gas introducing route 20 of a fixed board 18 of the center bulb 15 by rotating a movable board 16 of the center bulb 15 as well as a base 7, and a high-temperature gas such as nitrogen gas heated to 400 deg.C is introduced into the glass bulb 1. After that, the glass bulb 1 is charged with a desired charging gas.
