Abstract
PURPOSE:To detect the shielding materials existing in front of an object by allowing the incidence of part of the light from the object to two pieces of photodetectors which are formed in a comb shape via an oscillating reflecting mirror. CONSTITUTION:The light from a place Q where debris flow occurs is made incident to photodetectors 1a, 1b which are formed in a comb shape in the course of an objective lens 2, small prisms 3, 7, and the lens 2, the prism 3, an oscillating reflecting mirror 4, a small prism 5, a lens system 6, and the prism 7. The mirror 4 is oscillated by an oscillation command signal. The signals of the photodetectors 1a, 1b are inputted to a cumulative amplifier 11 and a differential amplifier 12. The output of the amplifier 11 is discriminated of the case in which the average brightness of the image is above a certain valve. The output of the amplifier 12 is detected of AC components with a detecting circuit 14. The presence or absence of fogs is discriminated by the output during oscillation of the mirror 4, and the occurrence of debris flow is detected by the output under nooscillation. Hence, whether the debris flow does not occur or the occurrence of the debris flow cannot be detected as it is shielded by fogs is discriminated.
