Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a gas metering device which can convert the flow rate of a gas to the working rate of liquid by providing selector valves which select the flow passages of the gas flowing in a main flow passage and selecting these valves thereby operating a liquid acting piston freely movable back and forth. CONSTITUTION:Split flow passages 11, 12 having respectively two pieces of selector valves 41, 42 and 43, 44 are provided to a main flow passage 1 having an inlet 2 and an outlet 3, and further, auxiliary flow passages 5, 6 are connected between the valves 41 and 42 and 43 and 44. The passages 5, 6 are connected to gas storage parts 7, 8, and further the parts 7, 8 are connected to a measuring cylinder having a cylinder 9, a piston 10 and stoppers 15, 16 via a liquid conduit 11. The movement of the piston 10 is detected with sensors 17, 18. If with such constitution the valves 41, 44 are opened and the same 42, 43 are closed, the gas of the passage 1 flows in a solid line arrow direction and forces the piston rightward. When the valves 41, 44 are closed and the same 42, 43 are opened, the gas flows in a dotted line arrow direction and forces the piston leftward, and if these are repeated, the flow rate of the gas can be converted to the working rate of liquid.
