Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the size of a heat accumulating apparatus, by utilizing heat accumulated in a concentrated solution of an inorganic salt and heat produced when the concentrated solution of an inorganic salt is diluted. CONSTITUTION:A tank 4 having therein an aqueous solution of an inorganic salt such as lithium bromide having a high hygroscopicity and producing a large amount of heat when it is diluted and a tank 5 having therein water are communicated with each other via a pipe 7, and a heat radiating section 3a of a heating-medium conduit 3 connected to a solar heat collector 1 is disposed in the tank 4 for heating and concentrating the solution of an inorganic salt. Steam produced is condensed in the tank 5 so that heat is accumulated therein. At the same time, water in the tank 5 is heated by a heater 10 and a heating section 12 by the aid of a heat exchanger 9a, and steam produced in the tank 5 is sent to the tank 4 for diluting the solution of an inorganic salt and thereby producing heat through dilution of the solution, so that a hot-water supplying water heater 15a of a water heater 11 is heated. At the time of accumulating heat, water in the tank 5 is cooled by a cooling column 13.
