Abstract
PURPOSE:To remove oily matter remaining in an oil-separating element by moving bubbles upward from the inside of the element in a water tank, in a method for regenerating an oil-containing element or filter. CONSTITUTION:The separating element 10 is held between element holders 2, 3 through sealing means 5. A stand 1 with the separating element 10 mounted thereon is placed in water contained in a water tank 14, and compressed air supplied through a feeding pipe 15 is jetted into the water through jetting holes 8. The bubbles 9 formed by the jetting of compressed air from the holes 8 enters the interior of the element 10, and the oily matter remaining in the element 10 is floated up to the water surface together with the bubbles 9, resulting in that the oily matter is removed from the element 10. The compressed air jetted out through the jetting holes 8 impinges against vanes 12, thereby rotating the element 10 in the tank 14.
