Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable an ATC system to operate even in a no signal zone by inserting an emergency operation switch operating circuit to the pressure line of an ATC defect detector and the resetting circuit of a defect holding relay.
CONSTITUTION: When a train approaches a ground non signal zone so that no presence detector 4 detects no signal, a holding relay 8 operates to operate an emergency brake. When an emergency operation switch 10 is closed, an emergency operation relay 11 will operate. Thus, the relay 8 is reset by the contact 11b of the relay 11, and the pressure line of a defect detector A is disconnected via the contact 11a of the relay 11. Then, the train becomes possible to run in a no signal zone. When the switch 10 is opened, the pressure line of the detector A is again connected. In this manner, a normal operation having a normal ATC defect detecting function becomes possible.
