Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve resolution of an A/D converter by providing the circuit comprising a differential amplifier, a memory circuit, and a D/A converter in the receiver for the remote sensing microwave radiometer, and removing the noise generated in the receiver. CONSTITUTION:When a switch 2 is switched to a calibrating noise source side, and a switch 10 is switched to a low temperature noise source side 8, the input voltage which is the sum of the noise level from the noise source 8 and the noise level generated in the receiver is generated at the input of the differential amplifier 12, and the voltage that is proportional to said input voltage is outputted and stored in a memory 11. The soted voltage is inputted to the differential amplifier 12 through the D/A converter 13. Then the switch 10 is switched to the calibrating side and the calibration is performed. Then the switch 2 is switched to the side of an antenna 1, and the observation of the object to be observed is performed. Then the voltage which is obtained by removing the noise voltage generated in the receiver and the noise voltage generated in the low temperature noise source appears in the output of the differential amplifier 12. The output of the differential amplifier 12 when said source 8 is connected is made to be 0V. Thus the resolution of the A/D converter 7 is improved.
