Abstract
PURPOSE: To simplify the structure of a rotary pump and to prevent the increasing rate of discharge, accompanying with the increase of rotating speed of a pump, by providing a bypass, which connects the discharge side of a pump to the suction side, to a rotor inside of a pump, and a check valve to the bypass, respectively.
CONSTITUTION: The check valve 27, consisting of a spherical valve body 28, a coil spring 29, and a retainer 30, is fitted to the opening of a bypass 26, as well as to provide the bypass 26, which connects a discharge port 12 with a suction port 14, to a rotor 18, crosswise. The check valve 27 is opened, and a suction chamber 10a and a compression chamber 10b are interconnected to each other, when the rotating speed of a rotor 18 is increased, and the centrifugal force of a spherical valve body 28 becomes larger than the spring tension of a coil spring 29 predetermined, and further, exceeds it. Accordingly, the driving power necessary for a compressing work for a compressor is decreased and the rate of discharge of a refrigerant to the outside can be decreased.
