Abstract
PURPOSE: To prepare the titled compound continuously, in high yield, keeping the catalytic activity stably for a long period, by isomerizing an ethynylcarbinol compound in the presence of a vanadium-containing organic silicon polymer catalyst and a silanol.
CONSTITUTION: The α,β-unsaturated carbonyl compound of formula IV (R1 is H or lower hydrocarbon group; R2 is hydrocarbon group; R1 and R2 may together form a cyclic group; R3 is H or hydrocarbon group) is prepared by isomerizing an ethynylcarbonol compound of formulaIusing a catalyst comprising a polymer obtained by the condensation reaction of an orthovanadic acid salt of formula M3VO4 (M is alkali metal or ammonium group) or a metavanadic acid salt of formula MVO3 with a halogenated silane of formula II (R' and R" are same as R2; X is halogen), in the presence of a silanol of formula III (R''' is same as R2) such as triphenyl-silanol, if necessary adding a weak acid alkali metal salt to the reaction system.
EFFECT: The catalyst can be used repeatedly.
