Abstract
PURPOSE:To correct shading, by comparing the output of an envelope detector with the reference signal, then negative-feeding back the result of comparison to a gain control type amplifier, and picking up a compensated output signal. CONSTITUTION:When a signal IN in which the level of the center A is high, the level of both ends B, B' is lowered, and the locus of the waveform of upper end draws an envelope, is inputted to an envelope detector 2 via a gain control type amplifier 1 by shading, an envelope signal V2 is outputted from a detector 2. Further, when the signal V2 is inputted to a comparator 3, the signal V2 and the reference voltage Vref are compared, and a voltage to the difference (hatched lines X, Y, Z) V3 is outputted. Since this voltage V3 is negative-fed back to the gain control terminal of the amplifier 1 as an AGC signal, the shading is compensated and accurate video signal OUT is outputted.
