The constitution is made that the amount of photo detection at the photo detection section of the focus detecting sensor 9 is maximum when a moving objective reaches the preset distance. Thus, the detection of focussing is automatically made by only fixing a pickup lens so that focussing can be made to the preset distance, allowing pickup accurately in-focus.
