Abstract
PURPOSE: The titled resin composition that is made by mixing a polyester resin with a specific ether as a solvent at a specific ratio, thus being suitably used as a hot melt type coating for electric insulation, because of its formation of stoved coating film with good appearance and high performance.
CONSTITUTION: A polyester resin, e.g., a polyester resin obtained by reaction between a polybasic acid such as terephthalic acid and a polyhydric alcohol such as ethylene glycol or a polyesterimide resin, is combined with an ether of formula: R1OCnH2nOR2 (R1, R2 are 1W6C alkyl or phenyl group; n is 2 or 3), preferably diphenyl ether or dibutyl ether by 30W5%. Further, a curing agent filler or other additives are added to the above mixture so that the resin content becomes more than 70wt% to produce the objective polyester resin composition.
