Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent burning of a ticket due to overheating, by a method wherein a power is fed to a heater for a short time through generation of a pulse at given intervals, and the heater is naturally cooled during a remaining running time. CONSTITUTION:Firstly, a ticket 1 is inserted between guide plates 2 and 3, and is conveyed to a heater side with feed rollers 4 and 5 turned. Meanwhile, an alternating current (d) is inputted to a zero voltage make-and-brake switch circuit 11 from an AC power source 10, and a pulse (e) is generated from a pulse generating circuit 12 at a T time period. If the ticket 1 is detected by a detector 8, a signal (f) is transmitted, and is inputted as a pulse (g) to the circuit 11. Then, a switch closes, and one cycle (h) of the alternating current (d) flows to a heater 6. Or, when the front part of the ticket 1 reaches the heater 6, one cycle (h) of the alternating circuit (d) flows to the heater 6 to heat it, and the ticket 1 is partially heated for coloring. The heater 6 is cooled naturally for a renaining running time, and in the following operation, the intermittent heating is repeated.
