Abstract

PURPOSE:To transmit large size manuscripts without reducing in size or folding them, by pressing the pinch roller against the feeding roller with a spring installed between a covering member fitted in a rotation-free condition through a shaft and the main body of the facsimile. CONSTITUTION:A covering member 16 with a pinch roller 14 located above a driving/feeding roller 12 of a main body of facsimile 10 is supported by the main body of facsimile 10 as a cantilever at one side along the manuscript feeding direction. A force which presses the pinch roller 14 against the feeding roller 12 is given to a frame 26, by fitting extended parts 28 and 30 of the frame 26 to a shaft 24 in a rotation-free condition and by installing a spring 32 between the side part of the cantilever side of the frame 26 and a frame 18 of the main body. While a guide 42 for a manuscript P is installed to one side of a manuscript feeding inclined surface 40', no obstructives which give interruptions to the guide 42, etc., are installed to the opposite side, and, therefore, large size manuscripts can be fed smoothly.
