Abstract

PURPOSE:To realize the automatic detection for the disconnection and false connection of the core wire, by decoding the signal of a counter which is counted up by the clock pulse to apply it to the core wire and coding the signal extracted through the other end by an encoder to compare it with the output of the counter. CONSTITUTION:A test is started by applying a high-level signal to a clock pulse generating circuit 1 from a starting circuit 2. The clock pulse is applied to a counter 4 via gate circuits 3 and 17 as well as to a disconnection detecting FF5 and a contact detecting FF6 via gate circuits 3 and 18 respectively. To give an inspection to the core wire connected to a test signal transmission terminal LNO, the output binary code of an encoder 8 is compared with the binary code of the counter 4 through a comparator 10 and at the same time applied to a display circuit 11 that displays the false connection remote side number. In the normal mode, the counter 4 is counted up to perform the next test of the core wire. In an abnormal mode, an OK signal is set at a low level to stop the count- up operation of the counter 4. Then an inspection is given to the disconnection and the false connection. The result of this inspection is displayed at the circuit 11 and a display circuit 12 that displays the number of the tested core wire.
