Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce power loss in an electronic type cooling controller driven by a variable capacity compressor by preventing the liquid type coolant from being absorbed in the compressor by means of an evaporator outlet pressure compensator and controlling a variable flow rate expansion device using the deviation of room temperature. CONSTITUTION:A cooler consists of a variable capacity vane type compressor 1 which reduces coolant discharge in accordance with the increase of discharge pressure, condenser 2, controlled flow expansion device 3 which controls the quantity of coolant, evaporator 4, its outlet pressure compensator 5, and electronic controller 6. The expansion device 3 adjusts the aperture area by actuating an annular valve 32 by means of a solenoid 33 whose current application is controlled by means of the controller 6 in accordance with the deviation of room temperature. The outlet pressure compensator 5 changes the aperture area between the taper-shaped tip 55A of a measuring rod 55 and an orifice 51 by the displacement of a diaphragm 53 corresponding to the pressure of the outlet 41 of the evaporator and prevents the liquid type coolant from flowing in the compressor 1 by keeping the pressure constant.
