Abstract
PURPOSE:To eliminate the undesired exposure of X rays even for oblique photographing, by securing a symmetrical and asymmetrical open/close operation to the center line of the X-ray flux with two sets of diaphragm blades respectively. CONSTITUTION:The 1st and 2nd X-ray stop-down mechanisms 2 and 3 are incorporated into a diaphragm box 50 having a flange part 49 for attachment of an X-ray tube. Thus an X-ray stop-down device 1 is formed. When the 1st motors 5a and 5b of the mechanism 2 (shown by a 2-dot chain line) are turned, the 1st pulleys 7a and 7b of the output shafts 6a and 6b of the motors 5a and 5b are turned. Thus the 1st rotary shafts 10a and 10b are turned via transmission belts 8a and 8b. As a result, transmission belts 13a, 13b, 15a and 15b are shifted respectively to open and close diaphragm blades 21a, 21b, 22a and 22b fixed to the above-mentioned transmission belts respectively toward arrows X and X' in accordance with each open/close ratio. In this case, the blades 21a/21b and 22a/22b are opened/closed asymmetrically to the center point C of the X-ray flux, and this open/close ratio is controlled by potentiometers 24a and 24b.
