Abstract
PURPOSE:To increase testing power and make arrangments simple by a method wherein whether stator core loss is acceptable or not is judged by exciting a stator with a predetermined frequency and by comparing the third higher harmonic component with a reference value. CONSTITUTION:A stator 1 of a motor for testing is excited by an excitation means consisting of a commercial power supply 3, a transformer 4, a current transformer 5 and a one turn excitation winding 6 with a copper bar and a signal detected by a detection winding 8 is amplified by an amplifier 9. Then the third higher harmonic component is extracted by a BPF10 with a central frequency 3 times as large as the basic wave. After this, a detected output reduced to a DC digital value by an AC-DC converter 11 and an AD converter 12 is compared with the reference value Vr in a digital comparator 13 and the result is displayed by a lamp 14. Thus data processing can be readily carried out for certain, whereas it can demonstrate effectiveness when utilized in production lines.
