Abstract

PURPOSE:To detect the trouble of an induction motor simply and rapidly by a method wherein an inputted current or an inputted electric power to the stator of the induction motor is analyzed into a frequency spectrum, and the spectral characteristics of the respective frequency components thereof are compared with the reference spectral characteristics to checkup the trouble. CONSTITUTION:The wave form of the current or the electric power of the stator of the three phase induction motor 1 is detected by a transducer 2, and a frequency spectrum of the detected signal is obtained by a frequency spectrum analyzation circuit 3. The spectral pattern thereof is compared with the spectral patterns of induction motors being out of order stored in a memory 5 using a comparator 4 to checkup the trouble in the induction motor. Accordingly even the trouble point can be discriminated simply and rapidly without overhauling the induction motor.
