Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain an electricity saving fluorescent lamp which suppresses the increase of lamp current and reduces imput power by sealing mixed rare gases composed of mercury, a specific amount of krypton, and the rest of argon in a bulb. CONSTITUTION:A pair of lead wires 4 stretching in a bulb 1 are planted on a stem 3, and a filament coil 5 applied with an electronic radiation material is connected between the tips of the lead wires 4. A plate like electrode 6 made of a conductive material and electrically insulated against the coil 5 is arranged so as to enclose the filament coil 5, and is supported by a supporting wire 7 on the stem 3. Mixed rare gas composed of mercury, 10 to 30 percent, by volume, of krypton, and the rest of argon are sealed in the bulb 1. Accordingly, an electricity saving fluorescent lamp of low input power is obtained, derived from suppression of a lamp current increase and reflecting reduction of lamp power on the reduction of input power.
