Abstract
PURPOSE:To keep the absolute level of a signal almost constant, independently of timing, by inserting an electric signal obtained through exciting a light emitting body just before the scanning of an objective, prior to an electric signal of an objective, in an optical information reader. CONSTITUTION:Intermission of a photo scanning element 3, that is, a non-scanning period of a bar code symbol is detected at a detector 7, a signal is generated, a light emitting body 12 is excited, and a developed light 13 is detected at a photo detector 6. Before the objective such as the bar code symbol 5 is scanned at a laser light 2, a non-scanning period is detected at a detector 7, a light emitting body 12 is excited, and an electric signal obtained through giving the light 13 to the photo detector 6 is given just before the electric signal obtained through the scanning of the objective 5, allowing to make the level of an effective signal flat and to increase the amplitude dynamic range of the signal processing system substantially.
