Abstract

PURPOSE: To enhance the ignition efficiency and to reduce the noise, by providing an end nozzle tip of a fuel jetting valve exposed into a swirl chamber with a main fuel hole in the direction of fuel jet and a sub-fuel hole direction toward a plasma ignition plug.
CONSTITUTION: The end nozzle tip 8 of a hole nozzle type or pintle type fuel jet valve 1 is exposed into the swirl chamber 2. The nozzle tip 8 is provided with the main fuel hole 10 in the direction of fuel jet of the fuel jet valve 1 and the sub-fuel hole 11 directed toward the end of the plasma ignition plug 9. The operation of the plasma ignition plug 9 is synchronized by a plasma ignition means with the timing of the fuel jetted from the fuel jet valve 1. Thus, if it is required to start it when it is cold, the fuel can be completely and instantly exploded by plasma ignition, so that the ignition delay period during idling can be shortened, and the noises can be reduced.
