Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable the control of a speed of an induction motor without influence of the temperature rise at the operating time with a simple circuit arrangement and large load resistance by detecting the speed only from a voltage induced at the coil of the motor and utilizing it as the firing signal of a thyristor. CONSTITUTION:A thyristor SR and a diode D are connected in anti-parallel to each other, and are inserted between a single phase motor M and an AC power of source E. The firing phase of the thyristor SR is controlled to control the speed the motor M. In this case, when the motor M is substantially disconnected from the power source E, there are provided a capacitor Cn for detecting the rotating speed from the voltage inducted at the main coil l1 of the motor M and a capacitor Cs for producing a set voltage as a reference for the detected voltage. Thus, the detected voltage of the capacitor Cn is compared with the set voltage, and the deviation is applied as a firing signal to the gate of the thyristor SR.
