Abstract

PURPOSE:To realize the photometry for exposure control with the light that passed through a liquid focusing screen, by compensating or controlling an exposure controlling circuit in accordance with the presence or absence of the voltage to be applied to the focusing screen. CONSTITUTION:The voltage is applied to transparent electrodes 12 and 16 of a liquid crystal focusing screen 1 via a variable resistance 54a. At the same time, the exposure controlling part of a camera includes a photodetector 53, a variable resistance 54b and an exposure controlling part 55. The resistances 54a and 54b vary in coupling to each other. No change is caused to the output of the part 55 although a camera is set to the same subject of the same luminance along with a shift of a resistance lever 54c. Accordingly, the lever 54c is shifted to the position where the resistance value of the resistance 54b is large to increase the brightness of the finder viewfield when the subject is dark. While the lever 54c is shifted at the position where the resistance value of the resistance 54b is small to carry out the focusing with the screen 1 changed cloudy in case the subject is sufficiently bright. In such a way, the photometry is possible for the exposure control with the light passed through the screen 1.
