Abstract
PURPOSE:To simplify a driving logic design by decreasing a driving pulse, when driving a priming transfer part (CPD). CONSTITUTION:At time t0, optical signal charge is accumulated in a photodiode 102. At time t1, an address pulse 402 is applied to a line 104 from a vertical scanning shift register 101, and signal charge QS which has been photoelectrically converted by the photodiode 102 starts to move to a column line 105. At time t2, an accumulation state of an optical signal is obtained. At time t3, priming charge QP is injected to the column line 105 through a gate 106 from the accumulation part. At time t4, both the charge QS and the charge QP are moved to the accumulation part. At time t5, only the charge QS is fetched to a horizontal CCD113. At time t6, the skimming transfer is completed, and when the signal charge QS which has been skimming-transferred to the CCD113 enters a horizontal period, it is transferred toward the signal output transfer part by a pulse 401.
