Abstract
PURPOSE:To establish favorable atomization and as well to obtain high power output by providing, in a fuel injection device of the type in which the air-fuel ratio is maintained constant, a fuel atomizing device having an air nozzle accommodating thereinto means for sustaining an air differential pressure utilized for fuel atomization. CONSTITUTION:A fuel injection device comprises an air metering device 20, a fuel metering device 40 and a fuel atomizing device 50. The fuel atomizing device 50 includes an air nozzle 51 and a fuel nozzle 52 receiving a fuel from the fuel metering device 40 through a pipe line 38. Further, the differential pressure for allowing air flowing through the air nozzle 51 by way of an air pipe line 16, is established by an auxiliary valve 61 of eccentric butterfly type which is subjected to valve opening force by air flow so that the valve 61 is balanced by the resilient force of a spring 63 loaded therein. The differential pressure across the air nozzle 51 is determined by this spring and is available in a wide range so that favorable atomization may be established even during partial load operation. Further, the auxiliary valve 61 has a valve opening mechanism 64 for fully opening the valve 61 when a throttle valve 14 is fully opened, thereby high power output may be obtained at a full load operation.
