Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify the construction of hardware part by performing time control with software for an ignition timing control unit which delays an ignition advanceing angle in proportion to the number of nocking generated within a specified time. CONSTITUTION:Steps 525A and 526A constitute a timer. If a nocking is generated during excution of steps 525A and 526A, step 521A is interrupted. Step 522A counts up the number of nocking and after count up, Steps. 525A and 526A return to excution. After completion of timing, Step 528A obtains the volume of retard angle phiADV in proportion to the number of nocking NP. Then, the register is cleared and a nocking signal process routine is completed. Thus software time control can simplify the construction of hardware parts.
