Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce a necessary space and to prevent braking force from being decreased due to lubricant, by spigot-jointing between a brake core in a reduction gear unit having a brake and a bearing cover, and by forming an oil discharging groove in a joint portion.
CONSTITUTION: Power from a motor 2 is transmitted to a high speed shaft 10 through a coupling 12, and then to an output shaft 11 through gears 20, 21, an intermediate shaft 13 and gears 22, 23. A disc-brake 8 is attached onto the high speed shaft 10 of low torque. A core 40 incorporating therein a coil 41 is spigot- jointed to a bearing cover 60 which is in turn spigot-jointed to a reduction gear unit 1. The joint portion between the bearing cover 60 and the core 40 is formed with an oil discharging groove 61, thereby lublicant carried along the high speed shaft 10 is prevented from reaching discs 42, 45 and a lining 42.
