Abstract
PURPOSE:To omit switching of the range and improve the measuring accuracy over the wide range by converting logarithmically and amplifying the microelectric signal corresponding to the quantity of radiant rays, finding an antilogarithm from the logarithm and then converting it into reciprocal logarithm. CONSTITUTION:Microcurrent output from an ionized layer used as a radiant rays detector is converted logarithmically and amplified by a logarithmic amplifier 22. The DC voltage output from the logarithmic amplifier 22 is temperature compensated by a temperature compensation circuit 23 and converted into a BCD digital signal by an A/D converter 24. The BCD signal is supplied to a reciprocal logarithm converting circuit 25 with read-only memory and converted into a linear signal corresponding to the input microcurrent and suitable for display and storage.
