PURPOSE:To simplify constitution, and to eliminate the unbalance of three phases by obtaining composite gate signals corresponding to the three phases by comparing a pair of carrier waves and modulated waves, dividing the signals at every each phase and acquiring gate signals at every phase. CONSTITUTION:Clock signals CL are inputted, the modulated waves EUVW are generated from a modulated wave generating circuit 18 and the carrier waves EO from a carrier wave generating circuit 20 by output signals from a phase angle generating circuit 19, and an amplification circuit 22 amplifies the modulated waves EUVW on the basis of the output of a voltage comparator 21. A voltage comparator 23 compares the modulaed waves EUVW and the carrier waves EO and the composite gate signals GUVW corresponding to the three phases are obtained, the gate signals are supplied to each phase gate signal dividing circuit 24, 25, 26, and each phase gate signal GU, GV, GW is acquired on the basis of the output signals of the phase angle generating circuit 20.
