Abstract

PURPOSE: To keep current wave forms of individual phases of loads equal by generating a reference wave whose frequency is 6 times the fundamental frequency and a carrier wave whose frequency is 6n times and comparing both waves to obtain gate signals.
CONSTITUTION: A signal, whose frequency is 6.m.n1 times the inverter fundamental frequency f, is input to a control circuit, and is divided into a 1/n1 by a frequency divider 101. The result is input to a counter 104 through a selection circuit 103, obtaining a sawtooth wave with a hight m which becomes a carrier C. While, a sawtooth wave time with a hight m and a frequency 6f if obtained through a counter 105, and is designated as a reference wave R. C and R are compared in a comparator 106, and the result is synthesized with a signal from a 6-steps ring counter 107 in a wave synthesizer 108, thus gate signals G1∼G6 are obtained.
