Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable recording of a high frequency signal, by radiating laser light modulted with an electric signal to be recorded on a semiconductor recording medium storing and recording charges uniformly, releasing the charge storage state, and making signal recording. CONSTITUTION:In a recording medium 11, SiO2 film 13, Si3N4 film 14 are laminated on a semiconductor base 12 as isolation film with charge storage function, and a conductive base 15 is provided at the back side. At signal recording, a conductive head 16 is provided opposingly on the surface of the film 14, and a voltage is applied from a DC power supply 17. An optical recording head 18 provided at the lower stream of the conductive head 16 consists of a modulator 20 modulating the laser light from a light source 19 with a signal S, and an optical system 21. The recording medium 11 runs, a DC voltage is applied uniformly, charges in the semiconductor base 12 are stored on the film 14 and a depletion layer 22 is formed on the base 12 uniformly. When the laser light modulated is radiated, the storage state of the charge on the film 14 is released, the depletion layer of this part is erased, and the depletion layer corresponding to the recorded signal can be formed.
