Abstract

PURPOSE:To avoid unnecessary erasure due to leakage magnetic flux, by providing a thin magnetized member of the same shape magnetized with an opposite polarity to the end of a magnetized erasing core. The erasing magnetic field is as shown in figure, and the field is not spread upward, and the width of the erasing region on the tape 2 is made almost the same as the width W2 of a member which is the sum of the core 1' and the member 5, allowing to suppress unnecessary erasure due to leakage magnetic flux effectively.
