PURPOSE:To obtain a smaller distributor of improved corona resistance which is provided with a rotor electrode synchronizing a crank shaft by mixing silicone with molding material for a cap or a rotor head. CONSTITUTION:The distributor is composed of a rotor head 5 made of an insulator 4 to which a rotor electrode 3 is fixed and a housing 1 mounting the cap 8 on which a plurality of side electrodes 7 are fixed in a circumferential direction, and the like. The corona resistance of this rotor head 5 differs exceedingly by the base resin of the insulator 4 and its mixing filler. For example, a mixture B obtained by impregnating 40% talc polypropylene A with 1% silicone oil, a mixture D obtained by impregnating 30% glass polybutylene telephtalate C with 1% silicone oil improve corona resistance remarkably. This silicone mixture is obtained by a method wherein the base resin is mixed with silicone powder or impregnated with silicone oil.
