Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the variance in each phase shifter due to the temperature characteristics, by fitting a display circuit and a temperature controller to monitor the operation of the phase shifter externally. CONSTITUTION:Microwaves transmitted from a transmitter 5 are suitably divided into a power feeding system 4, are subjected to a prescribed phase shift at a ferrite phase shifter 3 and radiated from each element antenna 2. A temperature consisting of a thermister 10 fitted near a ferrite core 8 of the phase shifter 3 detects the temperature change in the phase shifter 3 caused due to the current flowing to an energizing coil 9 and the environment and the temperature control for a driving device 6 is made via a controller 11. Further, a display circuit consisting of a light emitting diode 12 and a level setting resistor 13 picks up a part of a voltage applied to the coil 9 for the phase shift and gives the quantity of illumination according to the current value flowing to the coil 9, allowing to monitor the operation of the phase shifter 3 externally.
