Abstract

The steel is then cooled at a controlled cooling rate to produce 5W80% martensite phase in the steel, and it is tempered if necessary to manufacture a steel with superior machinability. By this method after-heat-treatment can be eliminated after cutting in case of certain cut parts, so a dimensional change due to the treatment can be prevented.
