Abstract
PURPOSE: To decrease the crowns of a rolled material effectively and adequately and to improve the quality of the hot rolled material by rolling the rolled material with trapezoidal crown.rolls provided with stands except the final stand, and further leveling the same with a leveler.
CONSTITUTION: A rolled material 5 which is rolled by having some plate crowns in respective finishing stands is rolled with trapezoidal rolls 1 of, for example, a forestage stand Fn-1, whereby the tendencies of the plate crowns are averaged. Further the material 5 rolled with the rolls 1 is leveled with a leveler 2, and the screw-down load during the leveling is detected. The prescribed signal is fed back to the rolling stand on the upper or down stream of the leveler 2, and the constant tension of the material 5 is maintained by controlling 4 the rolling speed of this stand. Thereby, the rate of the plate crowns of the material 5 is decreased and the plate material of good flatness is obtained.
