Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a small-sized horigonal carburetter for a light car or the like by constructing a fuel passage of a main well with an outlet higher than the oil level in a float chamber and a main passage connected thereto with an air bleed at the upper end and a fuel injection main nozzle at the lower end.
CONSTITUTION: A suel injection port 11 in the lowest position of a main nozzle 10 erected in a suction cylinder 2 is provided higher than an oil level 5. A main passage 9 is connected to the exit of a main well 7 provided higher than the oil level by h3, and then brought to pass lower than the oil level 5. Consequently, a height H3 of the center of the suction cylinder 2 can be lowered, and an interval L3 between the center of the oil level and the inlet of the main passage 9 can be restrained from increasing for setting an allowable oil level inclination θ3 for turning at the optimum value. The provision of an air bleed 8 above the main well 7 permits to prevent the suction interruption at the initial stage of the supply of main fuel. This construction allows to improve the characteristic for turning and obain a small-sized horizontal carburetter.
