Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate an easy maintenance, by supporting a feed roll device so as to rotate the roll of the device by its empty weight toward a chute and providing freely movably a weight to control the rotating force of the roll toward the chute. CONSTITUTION:A support member 4 of a feed roll device 3 is made freely rotatable in rectangular to the feeding direction of an original and supported to a frame body 6 by a support member 5. The rotary shaft 8 of a roll 7 is connected to a drive source 9 via a gear mechanism 10. The roll 7 is tilted to the feeding direction of an original, so as to feed the original to a platen belt 1 in the correct mode in case the original is obliquely thrown into a chute 2. A weight 11 is engage-supported freely movably in the far and near direction to the fulcrum and at the opposite side to the roll 7. Thus the pressing force of the roll 7 is obtained by the empty weight of the device 3 and also adjusted by the shift of the weight 11.
