Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide a molten zinc plating apparatus capable of shortening a length of an alloying treatment device and shortening an alloying treatment time by providing a heating part due to high energy density beam to the device for subjecting a strip like material having zinc adhered to a surface thereof to alloying treatment. CONSTITUTION:A strip 1 is immersed in a zinc bath 4 and a zinc adhesion amount is controlled by a gas throttle nozzle 6 and, thereafter, sent to an alloying treatment apparatus 9. Then, in the apparatus 9, the strip 1 is instantaneously heatd by high energy density beam to heat only a surface layer part thereof especially required in the alloying treatment and, thereby, zinc and a ground metal are rapidly alloyed. Subsequently, the strip 1 subjected to the alloying treatment is wound up through a differential roll 8. As the result, a molten zinc plating apparatus with reduced energy loss can be provided.
