Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the assembling accuracy by making the planar profile perpendicular to the tube axis of a magnetic yoke having high permeability arranged in the neck section of an electromagnetic focusing cathode ray tube to be such shape as having the portion cut off from a circle and arranging a supporting member in said cut-off portion. CONSTITUTION:The planar profile perpendicular to the tube axis of a first grid 3, second grid 4, third grid bottom 15a, gap electrode 14a and a magnetic yoke 50 having high permeability is made into such shape as having the portion cut off from a circle. Then a supporting member is arranged in said portion while said electrodes 3, 4, 15a, 14a, 50 and a cathode 2 are supported by an electrode supporting rod 9a to constitute an electron gun. Thereafter said electron gun is arranged in the neck section 1 while a permanent magnet 8 is arranged to constitute an electromagnetic focusing cathode ray tube. Consequently the assembling work of the electron gun is facilitated resulting in the considerable improvement of the assembling accuracy.
