Abstract

PURPOSE: To facilitate the convection, and to improve the efficiency of heat exchange, by mounting a heat exchange that comprises a helical pipe onto the outer circumference of a vertically arranged cylindrical combustion chamber, and feeding water from the top of the heat exchanger.

CONSTITUTION: The combusted gas heats water which is in contact with the walls of the combustion chamber 2 and combustion descending chamber 4 by the conductive heat and radiant heat to raise the temperature of water in the can body 1 by permitting the water therein to convect thereby heating the water in the pipe of the heat exchanger 5, and the heated hot water for heating is tapped from a hot water supply port 1a, and warm water for serving warm water is supplied from a warm water supply port 5a. In this arrangement, the water filled in the space G is quickly heated by the walls in contact with the combusted gas to elevate the temperature of said water, which results in the rising of the water along said walls. As a result, the temperature of water in the can body 1 can be quickly elevated.
