Abstract

PURPOSE: To make possible to prevent danger of going out of gas with adjusting gas cock by securing maximum gas flow and minimum gas flow with the profile of the cam.
CONSTITUTION: When the valve body 9 is rotated to the clockwise direction from minimum flow position, the opening area, formed between the valve head 18 and the valve seat 17, increases and the gas flow increases. The profile of the cam 23 is made so that the cam lift l increases very slowly with increasing angle of rotation angle ϕ at near the lowest position where the pin 22 touches with the side wall 24 of the cam, and the dl/dϕ at early stage of the rotation is very small, however, the dl/dϕ gradually increases with increasing ϕ and the cam lift becomes maximum at the position where pin 22 touches with the cam side wall 25, therefore there is no danger of going out of gas by adjustment of the cock.
